Nature

No school. No work. We all had a day off yesterday! We enjoyed a day at Devil's Lake. We walked and walked and walked some more. It was beautiful day for this activity. It was little windy but worth it. Of course took lots of pictures! Here is an example...

My little girl

My little girl is no longer so little. She needs two hands to tell you how old she is. I can't believe my baby is 6 years old today. We started celebrating yesterday by making brownie cupcakes for her kindergarten class. She is wearing one of her high school musical outfits her family gave her today. She is having a great big birthday party for her friends this Saturday at the bowling alley. Her birthday present from me is movie tickets to go see High School Musical 3 with one of her best friends!

All I want to do is give her hugs and kisses!!

It's been a pretty stressful week. I'm glad that it's Saturday :-) I have another day off before I have to go back to work. Don't get be wrong I love my job but I just don't seem to get much done at home EVER! I had the pleasure of doing laundry today... feels like I've done 10 loads and I have a ton more to do.

This morning we had a kid football game to attend. Of course it had to rain. VERY WET! He did really awesome though. He got to carry the ball. He made it about 20 yards before he was taken out by the defense. He doesn't seem to mind getting hit. I think it looks painful. The score ended up to be 12-12... a tie. I guess that's better than loosing.

I have obsession with the Twilight Series. I've read the whole series in two weeks. I just couldn't put any of the books down (that's probably explains why I can't get anything done around the house). I'm looking forward to the movie coming out in November. Now I have to find new books to read so if any has any ideas... let me know!

Bits and Pieces

Well my big man has his final football practice tomorrow before the first BIG game on Saturday. Of course he has to be on the field by 8:20am. What is that?!?! It is Saturday morning after all. I can't believe I let him play tackle football. I mean he is only in fourth grade. He seems to be enjoying it! So far at the scrimmage he played linebacker and tackle on offense. Boy... he can take those big boys down!

On the down side he had to get a retainer today. He sounds funny ;-) Don't let him know I said that! He has to wear it all the time. I'm not sure why but he actually seems excited about having it.

My little girl is starting her ice skating during the week tomorrow. Last Sunday she started working on her routine for her competition in November. One of her routine's will be to a Cinderella themed song. We also picked out the cutest outfit... also the most expensive I might add. All that matters is that she will be super duper cute!

Busy weekend

Why does the weekend have to be so busy? My son had to be weighed for his new tackle football career. Luckily he is under the weight limit so he can carry the football. Then it was off to his soccer tournament. He is an awesome goalie! Unfortunately the team lost three out of the four games. We keep telling him it's not about the winning or loosing but he seems to be crushed whenever his team looses. My little lady had a birthday party to attend. She said she had a blast! It was a tea party so all the little girls had pretty dresses on. She decided to wear the dress her dad sent her from Japan. As always she was adorable! Finally today is a day of rest. My oldest is off to a Brewer game with a friend and my youngest has ice skating this afternoon but that's it!
