Busy weekend

Why does the weekend have to be so busy? My son had to be weighed for his new tackle football career. Luckily he is under the weight limit so he can carry the football. Then it was off to his soccer tournament. He is an awesome goalie! Unfortunately the team lost three out of the four games. We keep telling him it's not about the winning or loosing but he seems to be crushed whenever his team looses. My little lady had a birthday party to attend. She said she had a blast! It was a tea party so all the little girls had pretty dresses on. She decided to wear the dress her dad sent her from Japan. As always she was adorable! Finally today is a day of rest. My oldest is off to a Brewer game with a friend and my youngest has ice skating this afternoon but that's it!

First day of school

At this point I don't think I'm aloud to call them "my babies" anymore :-( My oldest has started 4th grade. He's not to excited about the whole back to school bit. Now on the other hand my youngest started Kindergarten and was so excited about starting school! She got to see her old friends from preschool and meet new friends. She said her favorite thing the first day of school was organizing her new school supplies.

Madison Mallards

Last night we had the honor to see the Madison Mallards at there finest. For those of you who are not aware, the Mallards are the minor baseball team here (http://www.mallardsbaseball.com/home/). Unfortunately we left in the 5th inning do to it being a late night for the kids, but the Mallards pull through winning Eau Claire Express 11-7. The kids brought their gloves to try and catch that foul ball. No luck on a foul ball. My oldest got a Mallards helmet. My youngest had to pick the noisiest Mallards memorabilia though. She got a quacker and QUACKED all the way home!

Ice Skating

My beautiful daughter is completely excited about her ice skating competition coming up in August. We picked out a ice skating dress which we bought used. Do you know how much those cost new? WOW way to expensive. She even got new skates! Of course we rented them because we know she will grow out of them so quickly. I have to say renting skates was a great idea that was passed on to us by her ice skating coach. She not only does learn to skate but she has a private coach right now too! How lucky she is ;-) She does love being on the ice. It's hard to get her off!

June already

Really where does the time go... Seriously? I can't believe it's June already. As usual our lives are busy on this end. There was the infamous birthday party. I'm glad I'm not turning 40 ;-)

What about this crazy weather? Can you believe the interstate was closed because of flooding? Our basement had it's own pool! LONG STORY with that one.

Anyway we have many fun events coming up... Wisconsin Dells and Summerfest. Just to name a few... stay tuned...
